Supernatural Story

“I have lived a long time, Sir, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth-that God governs in the affairs of men.”

Benjamin Franklin

I enjoy reading a good story, but the one I currently like, is the supernatural story God is writing about our life here in Wichita. Prior to our move, God assured me we would love where we live and what He had for us there. Check. He said we would make friends quickly. Check. The Holy Spirit whispered we would thrive and experience greater freedom. Check. Those are just a few of God’s promises that have come to pass, in this last year and a half.

Over and over again we have felt the favor of God. We’ve been highlighted to our shepherds and received prophetic words. We’ve been invited, welcomed and embraced by those in the Body of Christ. Friends are becoming like family and this has been seemingly instantaneous, signifying God’s supernatural work. I have felt humbled, like Ruth in Ruth 2:10. “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me-a foreigner?” It’s as if God went ahead of us and prepared a table before us, laden with delicious food, for us to partake.

We have seen and can attest to the sovereignty of God, His fingerprints, while in Wichita. He has guided us by dropping hints, like little pieces of breadcrumbs, in front of us to pick up. Each one we’ve seen and acknowledged from the hand of God, has led us to another breadcrumb. There are no coincidences in life, only God incidents. Because of God’s sovereignty, everything is a plan, purpose and direction from a loving Father. Any slight hint of God set something in motion and we acted on it. We’ve been on the lookout for God’s handiwork, knowing that would give us direction for the next step to take. Obedience and thanksgiving have been our responses.

Whatever story God is currently writing in your life, it’s supernatural. When God is involved and He asks you to partner with Him, the super God is combined with the natural you, which makes the supernatural. Keep your radar on, anticipate God to leave bread crumbs for you to follow, acknowledge His handiwork, be obedient to the hints He gives you and do all this with an attitude of gratitude. You too will enjoy the supernatural story God is writing about your life!

“Wherever God rules over the human heart as King, there is the kingdom of God established.”

Paul W. Harrison
